Excerpt

The black became awash with golden light as the familiar lotus flower opened and the second skin indexed itself. Le Tissier sat still, glazed. Behind the glowing flower was the amorphous zigzag movement of the yantra lines, perpetually criss-crossing to form a mesh of pure platonic solids. It was said that this induced catatonia, like a dog chasing its tail. No one knew for sure, not even Ganesh.

    That is beautiful. I think it says more about me than the writing that my favorite image is the catatonia-inducing dog at play.
